Meet the St. Lawrence Team…

All our staff are trained holding NNEB, BTEC and NVQ level 2 and 3 or working towards these. They have all undertaken First Aid training and attend many other courses including Equal opportunities, Safeguarding Children, Additional Needs and Child Development to keep themselves up to date with new legislation and initiatives in order to provide the very best care and provision for the children. We also employ an apprentice who is working towards her level 3 qualification.

All staff have an additional role such as Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO), Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Behaviour Management and  Outdoor Play Representatives, to ensure all key areas within our provision are continually monitored and improved.

All staff, volunteers and students who work/volunteer within the setting have been CRB checked, and approved by Ofsted.

We operate a very high ratio of well-qualified staff, acknowledging Ofsted requirements, those ratio’s being:

  • One staff member for every 4 children aged under 3 years
  • One staff member for every 8 children aged over 3 years
  • However, we endeavour to attain a much higher level of staffing ratio’s where possible.
